My name is Christine Rescigno but my friends call me Chrissy. I grew up in New Jersey in a very traditional house. My dad worked a 9-5 job and mom was a stay at home mom, I always says we were like the Cleavers from Leave it to Beaver.  I was always a good student in school and knew that one day I would be a teacher.  I was a teacher for 13 years and then 13 years as a guidance counselor. I moved to California after I graduated from college and by that time I had been married, divorced and had a 3 year old daughter.

I am 56 years old and I live in Valencia, California. I work as an Assistant principal at a middle school in the San Fernando Valley. I have a 36 year old daughter who recently has gotten into health and fitness and has lost 90 pounds. I currently am single; I’ve been divorced for 16 years

My life has changed over the past 2 and ½ years since I joined Hardcore Fitness boot camp and met Larry Nolan and Nadia Lopez. I wasn’t always a person who believed in physical fitness, in high school I hated Gym class and working out. After I had my child when I was 20 years old I realized I needed to do something to get in shape.  That started a 15 year period where I suffered from an eating disorder. I was also involved in an abusive relationship with the father of my child. I never really weight trained until I came to Hardcore. I initially tried Hardcore on a two week trial member ship but I was overwhelmed and felt it was too difficult for me. I still sometimes feel that way, LOL. At the age of 54 after seeing my cousin Joann do so well in Hardcore, I joined. I have consistently worked out and followed the diet plan ever since. I felt when I joined that I would like to compete in a bikini competition but didn’t think I could get my body in that shape

I remember asking Larry Nolan, my trainer if he thought I could do it, he said yes of course. So I competed in my first bikini contest at the age of 55 and have done two more competitions.

I feel I am a good role model not only for mature people but for young people as well, I have a lot of people in their 20s and 30s tell me they wish they had a body like mine. Some of those same people work out more than I do; it’s unbelievable what I have accomplished. I have been an educator for 34 years and love to inspire people that’s why I got into that field but I was never valued for my athletic ability so when people tell me that I inspire them to work out and eat right it means the world to me. And it’s just not about eating right and getting fit it’s about how I feel on the inside, 20 years ago if you ever told me that I would walk across a stage in a bikini I would have told you that you were nuts. I just wish that my parents would have been there to see it, but I know they are watching over me.

I also have had the opportunity to do a few photo shoots one of which was for Status Magazine; I am still waiting to see that edition of the magazine. But it was very exciting to work with professional photographers and also be a part of the team from my boot camp. We have people ranging in age from 20 to 56.

I’m looking forward to competing in my next fitness competition in June, it will be my third and I’m hoping to bring back some hardware. I have also entered a contest to represent my Boot camp, Hardcore Fitness and their new line of supplements, HN Supps. I am very honored to be featured in and can’t believe the opportunities fitness has brought to me in these later years of my life.

I do the bootcamp which is weight training, do cardio everyday and do yoga 3 times a week! I eat every three hours and stick to basically a carb cycling diet with only healthy carbs like oatmeal brown rice and yams ! I have one cheat meal a week!
